Avengers: Infinity War Plot

The Avengers must prevent Thanos, an intergalactic warlord, from obtaining all of the infinity stones. Thanos, on the other hand, is willing to go to any length to carry out his insane plan.

The Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy try to stop Thanos from collecting the six all-powerful Infinity Stones as part of his quest to wipe out half of all life in the universe.

Avengers: Infinity War Narrative

Thanos and his lieutenants, Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian, Proxima Midnight, and Corvus Glaive, intercept the spaceship carrying the survivors of Asgard’s destruction after acquiring the Power Stone–one of the six Infinity Stones–from the planet Xandar. [N 1] Formalized paraphrase Thanos subdues Thor, extracts the Space Stone from the Tesseract, defeats the Hulk, and kills Loki. Thanos also kills Heimdall after he uses the Bifröst to send Hulk to Earth.

Hulk crashes-lands in New York City’s Sanctum Sanctorum, reverting to Bruce Banner’s form. He warns Stephen Strange and Wong about Thanos’ plan to annihilate half of all life in the universe, and they enlist Tony Stark’s help. Maw and Obsidian arrive to retrieve Strange’s Time Stone, attracting Peter Parker’s attention. Due to an enchantment, Maw is unable to take the Time Stone and instead captures Strange.

The Guardians of the Galaxy respond to an Asgardian ship’s distress call and rescue Thor. Thor believes Thanos is after the Reality Stone, which Taneleer Tivan has on Knowhere. He travels to Nidavellir with Rocket and Groot to enlist the help of the dwarf king Eitri in the creation of the battle-axe Stormbreaker. When Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, and Mantis arrive in Knowhere, they discover Thanos in possession of the Reality Stone.
