Captain Marvel Plot

Vers, a Kree warrior, becomes separated from her team during a mission and is stranded on Earth. Her life, however, takes an unusual turn when she joins forces with Fury, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.

The plot follows Danvers as she becomes Captain Marvel after Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic conflict between two alien civilizations in 1995.

Captain Marvel Narrative

Vers, a Starforce member, suffers from amnesia and recurring nightmares involving an older woman in 1995 on the Kree Empire’s capital planet of Hala. Yon-Rogg, her mentor and commander, teaches Vers how to control her abilities, while the Supreme Intelligence, the Kree’s artificial intelligence, advises her to control her emotions.

Vers is captured by Skrull commander Talos while on a mission to rescue an undercover operative infiltrating a group of Skrulls, alien shapeshifters with whom the Kree are at war. His’ memories are probed, and they are led to Earth. Vers flees and lands in Los Angeles. Her presence draws the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Nick Fury and Phil Coulson, whose investigation is cut short by a Skrull attack.

Talos, disguised as Fury’s boss Keller, instructs Fury to collaborate with Vers and keep an eye on her. Vers and Fury travel to the Project Pegasus installation at a US Air Force base using her extracted memories. Vers was a pilot who died in 1989 while testing an experimental light-speed engine designed by Dr. Wendy Lawson, whom Vers recognizes as the woman from her nightmares.
