Deadpool 2 Plot

Deadpool is imprisoned after he saves a young mutant named Russell from the authorities. He escapes, however, and forms a mutant team to stop a time-traveling mercenary from killing Russell.

Deadpool forms the X-Force in the film to protect a young mutant from the time-traveling soldier Cable.

Deadpool 2 Narrative

Six weeks later, blaming himself for Vanessa’s death, he attempts suicide by blowing himself up. Wade has a vision of Vanessa in the afterlife, but he survives due to his healing abilities, and Colossus reassembles his body. He is left with only a Skee-Ball token, an anniversary gift from Vanessa, as a final memento.

Cable infiltrates the Ice Box and assaults Russell. Wade tries to defend Russell, but his collar breaks in the ensuing melee. He forces himself and Cable out of the prison after Cable steals Vanessa’s token, but not before Russell overhears Wade deny caring for the young mutant in order to protect him. Wade has another vision of Vanessa near death, in which she persuades him to help Russell.

Deadpool forms the X-Force team to free Russell from a prison-transfer convoy and protect him from Cable. The team attacks the convoy by parachute, but all members except Deadpool and the lucky Domino perish during the landing. While they are fighting Cable, Russell releases fellow inmate Juggernaut, who agrees to assist Russell in killing the abusive orphanage headmaster.
