Escape Room 2: Tournament of Champions Plot

Six people are unwittingly trapped in another series of escape rooms, gradually discovering what they have in common in order to survive and discovering they’ve all played the game before.

It follows a group of six people as they attempt to survive a new series of more dangerous escape rooms.

Escape Room 2: Tournament of Champions Narrative

After escaping the Minos Corporation’s “sole survivor” escape rooms, Zoey Davis and Ben Miller decide to confront the shadowy organization after discovering coordinates to its New York City–based headquarters. Zoey’s therapist encourages her to move on from her trauma and overcome her fear of flying, but she chooses to drive with Ben instead.

As the passengers realize in horror that they are once again in Minos’ deadly game, the train becomes electrified. Zoey and Ben learn that the others are the “winners” of previous escape rooms, having survived them. To escape, the group must collect subway tokens as the electrification increases. Theo is killed while the rest escape.

The following room contains a bank with a slowly closing vault and a lethal laser security system. The group deciphers the complex route around the lasers and escapes with only seconds to spare. While in the room, Zoey is perplexed by frequent references to someone named Sonya and the fact that, unlike before, the escape rooms have no obvious connection to the group.
