Black Lightning Plot

Jefferson Pierce, a vigilante with the ability to harness electricity, is forced to come out of retirement to combat rising crime in his neighborhood.

Jefferson Pierce, the principal of Garfield High School in Freeland, Georgia, is the focus of the series. He was a superhero called Black Lightning for nine years until he retired because of what his life was doing to his ex-wife Lynn Stewart and his daughters Anissa and Jennifer.

Black Lightning Narrative

Following Lawanda’s death, Reverend Holt intends to organize a peace march in response to the 100’s crime wave, much to Jefferson and Inspector Henderson’s chagrin. Anissa meets Grace Choi and begins to explore her new abilities. Tobias meets with Lady Eve and orders his minions to slaughter the peace march in exchange for Lala’s inclusion in the ranks. Despite the fact that Black Lightning is successful in stopping the assailant, Tobias is nearby as Syonide shoots Reverend Holt.

The bullet strikes Khalil, Jennifer’s boyfriend, after passing through Reverend Holt. At the hospital, Jefferson hears conflicting reports about Black Lightning from peace marchers and Inspector Henderson. Gambi deletes evidence that Tobias was the one who shot the reverend and Khalil at the tailor shop. Lynn assures Anissa that she will be there for her at the hospital.

Bernard, one of Jefferson’s students, nearly overdoses on Green Light, a new strength-enhancing street drug. Jefferson is compelled to use his abilities to knock him out. The school board wants Bernard expelled, but only if Jefferson relinquishes final authority over student matters to the board. Green Light is tracked down by Gambi and Jefferson to a mid-level dealer named Two Bits, an old friend of Jefferson’s. When Black Lightning dismisses Jefferson, he convinces him to reveal the location of a warehouse.
