From Plot

Unravel the mystery of a Central American city where anyone who enters is imprisoned. Residents must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest as they struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and seek a way out.

Unwilling residents fight to stay alive and search for a way out in a nightmare town in middle America that traps everyone who enters. They are, however, threatened by the surrounding forest, which includes terrifying nocturnal creatures.

From Narrative

The plot revolves around a terrifying town that traps anyone who enters it. Catalina Sandino Moreno from “Maria Full of Grace,” Eion Bailey from “Band of Brothers,” Hannah Cheramy, Simon Webster, and Ricky He from “The Good Doctor” are among the cast members. Residents struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and look for a way out while battling the threats of the surrounding forest, which include terrifying creatures that emerge when the sun sets.

While creating the creature transformations was difficult, the biggest challenge he faced was keeping the locations free of modern conveniences. “It breathed new life into our workload,” he says. The ‘From’ community had to be set off-grid, with a forest surrounding and encroaching on the community’s boundaries.”

So far, the tone of From is eerily similar to Epix’s Chapelwaite, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. When Bender and his pals aim for creepiness, they succeed admirably. On the other hand, it’s unclear whether the big mystery mythos will fully pay off, but the series should be fine as long as the demonic hordes keep coming.
