When a mother is forced to choose between putting her family in danger and returning to her past as a bio-engineered Russian agent, her life is turned upside down.

An American single mother must juggle family life and her unique shape-shifting abilities in a battle against an insidious enemy after being exposed as an ex-Russian spy.

In From the Cold Narrative

Another man on a bus is overtaken by whatever that force is and gets into a fight with someone, causing him to be pounded into a coma. A businesswoman stabs a young mother in a public square, and the crowd grabs her. A US youth skating team is also arriving in Madrid for a competition.

Jenny is examining her bruises when Chauncey arrives. He leads her across the hall to his base and introduces her to Chris Clark, his technical specialist. Her first assignment is to obtain an eye scan from someone who has access to a military hospital.

Jenny believes she is too old to be a honey trap, but Chauncey disagrees. She has no choice; if she does not comply, he will imprison her on espionage charges. She accomplishes all of this. But she possesses a talent that Chauncey was aware of but Chris was not.
