NCIS Plot

Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Special Agent, is a skilled investigator. He leads a team of Naval Criminal Investigative Service Major Case Response Team agents as they solve complex criminal cases.

NCIS follows a fictitious team of Naval Criminal Investigative Service Major Case Response Team (MCRT) special agents based at the Washington Navy Yard field office.

NCIS Narrative

A Navy commander, Ray Trapp (Gerald Downey), who was tasked with carrying the “football,” dies under mysterious circumstances while on Air Force One, forcing an emergency landing in Wichita, Kansas. However, while his death is initially thought to be a tragic accident, NCIS eventually uncovers evidence indicating that the commander was murdered and that it may have been connected to a possible assassination attempt on the President.

During a night-time training jump, a Marine (Brian Patrick Wade) is killed. The cause appears to be a faulty parachute, but standard investigation reveals that the death was not an accident at all. Gibbs begins to suspect that the supposed accident that resulted in the Marine’s death was, in fact, murder, and he and Tony, along with new recruit Kate Todd, set out to find out who tampered with the dead Marine’s faulty parachute and ultimately sent him to his death.

When a driverless boat and several bodies, including that of a Navy commander, wash up on the beach, apparently during a freelance drug deal gone bad, the media jumps to link him to drug trafficking, and the evidence mounts. Gibbs, a former Marine, refuses to believe that a good officer could be so corrupt.
