Outlander Plot

Claire Beauchamp Randall, a nurse during WWII, mysteriously travels back in time to 1743 Scotland. She meets a daring Highland warrior there and is drawn into an epic rebellion.

Claire Randall, a former nurse in the British Army during WWII, and her husband Frank are visiting Inverness, Scotland, in 1945, when she is transported back in time to 1743 by the standing stones at Craigh na Dun.

Outlander Narrative

In 1945, Claire Randall is a previous WWII battle nurture visiting Inverness, Scotland, with her better half Frank, becoming more acquainted with one another again after their wartime partition. Forthright is investigating his family ancestry, specifically his eighteenth Century predecessor Jonathan “Dark Jack” Randall. The morning in the wake of noticing a cutting edge Druid custom at the standing stones on the slope of Craigh na Dun, Claire contacts one of the stones, and awakens lying on the ground.

Before long she is in a conflict between English redcoats and renegade Highlanders, and encounters Frank’s twofold, Randall, who is skipper of the Dragoons. A Scotsman salvages Claire and she meets Jamie Fraser. As they escape, she sets his separated arm and later treats his slug wound. Claire is brought to Castle Leoch, and understands that she has some way or another went back as expected.

Claire is introduced to Colum MacKenzie, laird of Castle Leoch, where she learns she has arrived in 1743. Inevitably, she understands she is associated with being an English government operative. She meets Geillis Duncan, and witnesses Jamie doing a generosity for Laoghaire, the beautiful youthful granddaughter of Mrs. Fitzgibbons. As Claire plans to re-visitation of Inverness and the standing stones, Colum concludes it is ideal to keep her at Leoch, without wanting to, as healer to the group.
