Rick and Morty Plot

An alcoholic sociopath and scientist Rick, lives with the family of his daughter Beth. He takes his morally correct but dimwit grandson Morty on absurd intergalactic adventures in addition to building gadgets.

The show follows the exploits of the Smith family, which includes Jerry and Beth, their children Summer and Morty, and Beth’s father, Rick Sanchez, who lives with them as a guest.

Rick and Morty Narrative

Rick, inebriated, takes his grandson, Morty, for a ride in his flying car and rambles on about how he intends to wipe out all life on Earth with a neutrino bomb. On Morty’s command, he lands the vehicle and passes out. The bomb detonates on its own and appears to be unchecked, but it is eventually revealed that life on Earth is unaffected. Rick takes Morty to another dimension after breakfast with their family to collect seeds of “Mega Trees,” which Morty is forced to hide in his own rectum to avoid intergalactic customs.

However, Rick and Morty’s cover is blown, and they flee while fighting alien insect soldiers. Finally, the seeds temporarily make Morty extremely intelligent, despite the fact that he missed a semester of school due to his adventures with Rick. This leads his parents to believe he is satisfied with his education, but it wastes the seeds, so Rick informs Morty that they must return and get more, while the aftereffects leave Morty writhing on the floor.

Rick gives Snuffles, the family dog, an intelligence-enhancing helmet at Jerry’s request. In an Inception-style scenario, Rick and Morty enter Morty’s teacher’s dream in order to persuade him to give Morty a “A” in math class. They find themselves in a perilous situation in which they must repeatedly enter dreams within dreams in order to escape. They are eventually pursued by Scary Terry, a “legally safe” parody of Freddy Krueger in their dreams.
