Stargirl Plot

Courtney Whitmore, a high school student, inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past.

Courtney Whitmore, a high school student, discovers the Cosmic Staff of Starman one decade after nearly all of the Justice Society of America (JSA) were killed in a battle against the Injustice Society of America (ISA).

Stargirl Narrative

The headquarters of the Justice Society of America (JSA) are attacked by the Injustice Society of America (ISA), who kill their JSA counterparts. Pat Dugan, Starman’s sidekick, arrives to find his friend dying and assists him in escaping. Pat is instructed by Starman to keep his Cosmic Staff safe until he can find a worthy successor to rebuild the Justice Society. Meanwhile, a young Courtney Whitmore discovers that her father, Sam Kurtis, will be unable to return home for Christmas.

Barbara, her mother, marries Pat ten years later as he relocates his step-family to Blue Valley. Courtney accidentally discovers the Cosmic Staff in her basement after a bad first day at Blue Valley High School. It transports her to a nearby drive-in, where she disguises herself and accidentally destroys jock Henry King Jr.’s father’s car while pranking him. When Courtney returns home, she is confronted by Pat, who admits his involvement with the JSA, leading her to believe Starman is her biological father.

Henry Jr. informs his father, Henry King Sr., of the incident, which prompts Henry Sr. to don his Brainwave uniform. Courtney is attacked by Henry Sr. while training with the Cosmic Staff before Pat saves her with a suit of armor.
