Superman & Lois Plot

Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch play the world’s most famous superhero and comic book’s most famous journalist, respectively, as they deal with the stress, pressures, and complexities that come with being a working parent in today’s society.

Clark Kent / Superman and Lois Lane return to Smallville with their sons Jonathan and Jordan, where they meet Lana Lang, her husband Kyle Cushing, and their daughter Sarah for the first time.

Superman & Lois Narrative

Jordan decides to push back after being pushed around too much by Sean and his friends, by joining the team and earning the respect of the coach and his new teammates. Clark is concerned that doing so will reveal his abilities, but Jonathan persuades him that this is not the case. Jordan is allowed to join the team, and Clark accepts a position as the school’s assistant coach. After a fight with her mother, Sarah breaks up with Sean and quits the cheerleading team.

Lana and Sarah eventually reconcile after the former reveals their family’s dysfunctional state, such as her father sleeping on the couch, Sophie picking on the kids in her class, and Lana abusing sleeping medication. Lois tracks down a woman named Sharon Powell to speak with about Morgan Edge’s previous dealings with her son Derek. When Lois goes to meet with Sharon, she is ambushed by “Subjekt-11,” a man with superhuman strength equal to Superman’s, but Superman saves them both.

Due to Superman’s recent absence from the city, General Lane asks Clark to accompany Thaddeus Killgrave, who is being transferred out of Metropolis Penitentiary. Lane warns the twins not to distract their father from his role as Superman after Clark refuses to appear in order to spend time with his family. Meanwhile, Lois asks Clark to attend a town meeting in order to rally support against Edge’s motion to reopen the Shuster Mines.
