Taboo Plot

After ten years in Africa, James Delaney returns to England to attend his father’s funeral. He looks into his father’s suspicious death while attempting to restore his family’s pride.

The eight-part series, set in 1814, begins with James Delaney (Tom Hardy) returning to England after twelve years in Africa with fourteen stolen diamonds, following his father’s death and as the war with the United States approaches its conclusion.

Taboo Narrative

James Delaney, accepted dead, re-visitations of London to go to the memorial service of his dad, Horace.
