The Good Doctor Plot

Shaun, a young doctor, joins a prestigious hospital in San Jose, California, but his colleagues avoid him. He employs his abilities to treat patients and demonstrate them to his coworkers.

Shaun Murphy, a young autistic surgeon with savant syndrome from Casper, Wyoming, has a troubled past, and the series follows him. He moves to San Jose, California, to work at the prestigious St. Bonaventure Hospital.

The Good Doctor Narrative

Barb Allen, who is 22 weeks pregnant, and her husband arrive at St. Bonaventure in the hope that the doctors will be able to save their baby. A large non-cancerous tumor is developing on the fetus and must be removed to save his life. Barb insists on surgery despite the serious risks to both her and the baby. Meanwhile, Shaun and Claire are assigned Olivia, a patient with a genital boil. When doctors try to drain it, they discover a fibroid tumor wrapped around a nerve.

Shaun notices Evan, a young boy who bears an uncanny resemblance to his late brother Steve. Evan was taken to the hospital by his parents for a possible arm fracture. However, we discover that he has terminal bone cancer, which his parents have kept hidden from him. Shaun’s efforts to find a different diagnosis and save Evan earn him the scorn of his colleagues.

Evan’s terminal cancer diagnosis is finally confirmed when it is revealed that it has spread to his chest cavity. Evan, on the other hand, reveals that he has secretly known the truth for a long time and accepts his situation, but is grateful for Shaun’s efforts to assist him. Meanwhile, the team’s other members are attempting to diagnose an older man who has been brought in by his estranged son with a severe allergy condition that is causing him to convulse violently.
