The Wire Narrative

Murder detective Jimmy McNulty observes the homicide trial of a mid-level drug supplier, D’Angelo Barksdale, and sees the prosecution’s star witness recant her testimony. McNulty recognises drug king-pin Stringer Bell within the court docket room and believes he has manipulated the proceedings. D’Angelo is acquitted and returns to work for the Barksdale drug-dealing group shifting to the low rise housing mission referred to as “the pit.” A homeless drug addict named Bubbles acts as mentor to a different addict in an ill-conceived rip-off with extreme penalties.
