Yellowjackets Plot

The unlucky survivors of a plane accident deep in the Ontario wilderness are a phenomenally gifted high school girl soccer team.

A squad of high school soccer players from New Jersey travels to Seattle for a national competition in 1996. Their plane crashes deep in the bush while flying over Canada, leaving the remaining crew members to fend for themselves for the next 19 months.

Yellowjackets Narrative

In 1996, the Yellowjackets, a high school soccer team, would travel to Seattle for a national competition. During practice, Taissa tackles and fractures the leg of Allie, a promising freshman. Shauna explains during a party that Allie’s injury prevents her from traveling to Seattle for the tournament. She tries to create a fight with Taissa, but Jackie, the soccer team captain, intervenes.

After the plane disaster, Misty uses her superior first-aid knowledge to help the injured. Ben Scott, the assistant coach, is saved by her amputating and cauterizing his wounded leg. Travis comes across his father’s body, which has been impaled on a tree limb. Misty proves to be a valuable member of the squad, and after accidentally discovering the plane’s flight recorder, she destroys it in a moment of intense self-interest.

Three days in, Taissa convinces the group to hike towards a nearby lake. As tensions grow between them, the group discovers an abandoned cabin and finds a dead body in the attic which they later bury. In 2021, Taissa’s political opponent Phil Bathurst airs a campaign ad calling her a cannibal. Taissa’s concerns for Sammy grow after he purposely hurts a child at a playground. Shauna follows her husband to a hotel, where she runs into Adam and spots Jeff with another woman.
