Yellowstone Narrative
When John meets with the Governor, he announces his intention to resign as livestock commissioner and names Jamie as his replacement. Kayce decides to construct a camp for the summer in order to keep an eye on the herd. Monica chastises her students for their lack of interest in their surroundings. Both Beth and Chief Rainwater become aware of a new threat in the valley.
Life at the summer camp continues as Jamie begins his new job as Livestock Commissioner. Beth pays a visit to the mysterious Roarke Morris and learns about his long-term plans for the valley. Teeter is the ranch’s first female ranch hand. John reminisces about his past lives. Jamie is confronted with a problem that threatens to shake the very foundations of his career and future.
Jamie attempts to resolve the issue of Agent Hendon’s murderous actions by concocting a story that will save everyone involved while earning Jamie the respect of the ranchers he represents. Ellis Steele approaches Governor Perry and reveals his plans to build an airport in the middle of Yellowstone National Park, pressuring her to use eminent domain in exchange for the billions of dollars in tax revenue the new resort will generate for Montana.
