Justice League Plot

After eons, Steppenwolf and his Parademons return to Earth to capture it. However, Batman seeks Wonder Woman’s assistance in recruiting and assembling Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman to fight the formidable new foe.

After Superman’s death, Batman and Wonder Woman enlist the help of The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg to save the world from Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons.

Justice League Narrative

In the present, humanity is still in mourning two years after Superman’s death, which triggered the reactivation of the Mother Boxes and Steppenwolf’s return to Earth. Steppenwolf’s goal is to collect all of the boxes and form “The Unity,” which will destroy Earth’s ecology and terraform it in the image of Steppenwolf’s homeworld.

Steppenwolf launches an attack on an Atlantean outpost in search of the next Mother Box, forcing Curry into action. Stone retrieves the group’s final Mother Box, revealing that his father used the Mother Box to rebuild Stone’s body after an accident nearly killed him. Wayne decides to use the Mother Box to resurrect Superman, not only to aid in the fight against Steppenwolf’s invasion, but also to restore humanity’s hope.

The last Mother Box is left unguarded during the chaos, allowing Steppenwolf to retrieve it. Without Superman’s assistance, the five heroes travel to a Russian village where Steppenwolf plans to re-unite the Mother Boxes in order to remake Earth. They fight their way through the Parademons to Steppenwolf, but they are unable to distract him long enough for Stone to separate the Mother Boxes.
