Turning Red Plot

When Meilin, a 13-year-old girl, becomes overly excited, she transforms into a massive red panda.

Mei Lee, a 13-year-old girl, is torn between being her mother’s obedient daughter and dealing with the chaos of adolescence. As if that weren’t enough, when she becomes overly excited, she transforms into a large red panda.

Turning Red Narrative

Miles Morales, a teenager from New York City, struggles to live up to his father, police officer Jefferson Davis, who views Spider-Man as a threat. He settles in at prep school and visits his uncle Aaron Davis, who takes him to a decommissioned subway station to paint graffiti. A radioactive spider bites Miles, giving him Spider-Man-like abilities.

When Miles returns to the station, he discovers a collider built by Kingpin in the hopes of resurrecting his dead wife and son, whom he blames on Spider-Man. While attempting to disable the collider, he watches Spider-Man fight Kingpin’s enforcers, the Green Goblin and Prowler. Spider-Man saves Miles, but the Green Goblin shoves him into the collider, causing an explosion that kills Miles and severely injures Spider-Man.

As the city mourns the death of Spider-legacy, Man’s Miles tries to honor it by becoming the new Spider-Man. He inadvertently damages the drive while experimenting with his newfound abilities. At Spider-grave, Miles meets Peter B. Parker, an older and battered version of Spider-Man from another dimension. When Man’s Miles meets him, he discovers his ability to emit a bio-electric “venom” blast. Peter reluctantly agrees to train Miles in exchange for assistance in stealing data to create a new drive.
