Zack Snyder’s Justice League Plot

Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince try to bring the metahumans of Earth together after the death of Clark Kent. Meanwhile, Darkseid sends Steppenwolf to Earth with a vast army to subjugate humans.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League follows the DC Comics Justice League team as they attempt to save the world from the catastrophic threat of Darkseid (Ray Porter), Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds), and their army of Parademons.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League Narrative

Darkseid and his Parademon army attempt to conquer Earth using the three Mother Boxes five thousand years ago. A coalition of Old Gods, Amazons, Atlanteans, humans, and a Green Lantern defeats them, leaving the Mother Boxes behind, which are hidden separately. The reactivation of the Boxes is triggered by the death of Clark Kent / Superman[c], attracting Steppenwolf, Darkseid’s disgraced lieutenant.

Steppenwolf battles the Amazons on Themyscira and captures the Mother Box, which they are guarding. Diana Prince is warned by the Amazons, then learns of Darkseid’s attack on Earth and Steppenwolf, and informs Bruce Wayne. They want to form a metahuman team to protect the planet. After failing to recruit Arthur Curry, Bruce seeks out Barry Allen, while Diana seeks out Victor Stone.

Gotham City Police Commissioner James Gordon provides information that leads the team to Steppenwolf’s army in an abandoned underwater facility. Despite the fact that the team rescues the kidnapped employees, the facility floods, trapping them until Arthur assists them in escaping. Victor finds the last Mother Box he had stashed away. He explains that the Boxes can rearrange matter at their masters’ will, revealing that it was used to rebuild his body after a car accident.
