Zeros and Ones Plot

JJ is a soldier tasked with thwarting an impending terrorist attack on the Vatican. While in Rome, he is also looking for his anarchist brother, a political prisoner who may or may not be dead. In addition, there is a clear race against time and a slew of opponents.

When a soldier is summoned to Rome to prevent a terrorist bombing, he anxiously seeks word of his imprisoned brother, a rebel with information that could halt the plot. He speeds through the capital’s shadowy streets, avoiding a series of unsettling encounters in order to save the Vatican from being blown up.

Zeros and Ones Narrative

The plot of Zeros and Ones appears to be a complicated web of political intrigue, societal tension, and impending violence at first glance. The story has a lot of moving parts, and some of the puzzle pieces are easier to put together than others. Still, bringing the big picture into focus as the viewer is more of a pleasurable experience than a dreaded chore. The possibility of a terrorist attack on the Vatican looms in contemporary Rome.

JJ Jericho is an American operative stationed in the area, and he’s taking the same precautions against COVID-19’s airborne microscopic foe as he is against the more obvious physical threats closing in. Hawke, on the other hand, plays JJ’s brother, Justin Jericho, in the movie. Justin is an activist and revolutionary who has been labeled a public enemy by the United States government.

Hawke’s portrayals of these two characters are noticeably different from one another. JJ is a tired and worn-out character who exudes a deep sense of melancholy. Justin, on the other hand, is tense and brimming with nervous energy, as if he’s about to have a nervous breakdown. The dichotomy we’ve noticed here can also be found elsewhere in the film. The political and social machines at work in Zeros and Ones have a lot of grit and muck on their underbelly.
